Troubleshooting the Lumbar Spine in Swimming

Swimming Science and Dr. John Mullen, DPT recently posted our latest installment of our Troubleshooting Series(http://www.swimmingscience.net/2011/07/trouble-shooting-series-lumbar-spine.html ).

This installment focuses upon the lumbar spine, as we cover assessments, corrections, dryland and in-water movement flaws, as well as common medical conditions that afflict this spinal segment.  If you haven't done so previously, be sure to check out the rest of Dr. Mullen's site for enlightened discussions on a variety of swimming topics, with a particular emphasis on dryland and injury prevention.
